Justin Rainey

was born in Lafayette, Indiana, but was raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas from the age of 5. After attending Haas Hall Academy for high school, he went to the University of Arkansas where he is currently a junior studying kinesiology.

He began dancing at age 7 when he learned how to contra dance with the Fayetteville Traditional Dance Society. He took part in the 10 Minute Play Festival through Arts Live Theatre the summer of 2013. He then started taking ballet his freshman year of college with Gail Leftwich who recognized his talent and brought him to the attention of The Conservatory and NWA Ballet Theatre. To increase his studies, Justin participated in the Ballet Arkansas Master Class at the Walton Arts Center with Artistic Director of Ballet Arkansas Michael Bearden. He also took the Koresh Master Class at the Walton Arts Center this year.

Creating beautiful performances that will thrill audiences is every dancers dream. It takes them many years of training, long hours in rehearsals, and a lot of pointe shoes and performance wear.

NWA Ballet Theatre invites you to help keep our dancers on their toes by taking part in our Adopt-a-Dancer program.

All you have to do is choose a dancer (or type in “most in need”) and your donation will go directly to assisting their various performance needs.

Help our dancers realize their dreams -- join our Adopt-a-Dancer program today.
